Once in Barcelona, metro is the best option to move around easily.

Taxis are not really expensive and buses are good too.

Barcelona is an easy city!

Moving around Barcelona: metro, bus and more

– To move around Barcelona area, the best way is to use the 10 tickets travel card, called T10 1-2-3-4-5 zones (1 zone is just Barcelona city, 2 zones allows you to reach other cities around, like Sant Cugat. Depending on the city, check how many zones you need to pay for).
– For intensive travelling into Barcelona, you can get a Barcelona Transport Card, zone 1, valid for Barcelona Metro, Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona buses, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya urban services, Zone 1 Renfe Rodalies and tramway Tram.
– Prices would be (subjected to be changed at any time):
o 2-days, 13.40 EUR
o 3-days, 19.20 EUR
o 4-days, 24.40 EUR
o 5-days, 29.00 EUR

– Cards are valid per day, not per 24-hour period. Not valid for night buses. Not valid for Barcelona Bus Turistic, Teleferic de Montjuic (aerial cableway), Tramvia Blau (cable car), blue tram, or Daily; 6 AM–midnight Tibidabo funicular.
– Buses are useful too, but more complicated to be used, comparing to metro. However, you have 2 kind of buses different from others: Nit Bus (Night Bus) and Bus Turistic (Tourism Bus).
– Nit Bus is useful at nights, when metro is closed and the only alternatives you have is walking or taxis.
– Bus Turistic are normally private ones, 2 levels, with multilingual explanations and not a bad idea to catch a glimpse of what is Barcelona.
– Taxis, always powdercoated on yellow and black colours mixed, are not really expensive, specially if you are a group of 3-4 people.
